It’s August of 1987 and newly signed to MCA Records, PEBBLES was about to drop her soon to be #1 single, “Girlfriend”! A reception was held in her honor, hosted by Allen Carrol of MCA Records & THE PROS at Goodman’s Hall in Jack London Square, in Oakland!
Artists Kayo of THE DEELE, BRENDA VAUGHN were in support. Also in attendance were KSOL’s Marvin Robinson, Thurman Wells of T’s Wauzi Records and Nisa Bey of Nisa’s Showtime.
